Triple drop earrings set in 9ct yellow gold. These stunning earrings feature three large paste stones set in a silver crown setting. Each crown would have been handmade. A skill which takes time and patience to master. The earrings are absolutely beautiful dating back to the Edwardian era.
The glass stones are manufactured with lead oxide and referred to as 'Flint Glass'. The glass is cut and faceted to increase the reflections and fire. Paste was considered a popular material in costume and fine jewellery from the 1750s-1930s.
